I work in Wipro's Programme Management team to help:

identify early warning indicators to ensure the right investment decisions

Businesses must be able to demonstrate significant value from their IT investments – a challenge that has led many to turn to programme, project and portfolio management offices (PMOs) to boost IT efficiency, reduce costs, and improve project delivery timelines.

My former websites alistairjohnston.com and inspirational-instrumentals.com were created to exclusively showcase my music. I wanted to broaden the scope of these sites to encompass my other interests and particularly my IT career. I could have done this without replacing them with a new website, but I thought in making the change I would take the opportunity to simplify things and create a single site called afj.me.

The primary motivation for choosing afj.me is that it is often cumbersome to explain to people who aren't familiar with the spelling of my name which site to visit. I would end up having to say things like, "It's Alistair with a 't' and no 'e' on the end, and Johnston with a 't' and no 'e', dot com".

Hi, I'm Alistair. I'm an IT consultant in the Programme Management team at Wipro; I live in Ireland (near Dublin), and compose instrumental music in my spare time.

I'm currently working on a busy SAP rollout in Luxembourg so creating music has been put on the back-burner. However, you can access my archive of original compositions here which are all available for free download.
